If not for Mikhail Saakashvili, in 2008, Georgia would have avoided war and lost territories. This was announced by the chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya on the live broadcast of radio "Georgian Times", commenting on media reports about the recognition of Saakashvili by the Ukrainian prosecutor's office as a victim.
According to the deputy, too much attention is paid to Saakashvili today, he is "the main actor in the tragedy that befell Georgia in 2008".

As for the recognition of Saakashvili as a victim by Ukraine, it would be better if they familiarized themselves with the information in advance that he was convicted and wanted by Georgia. What does it mean - they didn't notice that Saakashvili was wanted, but now they noticed that some of his rights were violated? If Saakashvili's rights are violated, then the rights of 9,500 more prisoners are violated, but no one remembers this. Today, there is no TV channel that would not be interested in the health of Saakashvili, what he eats, what he drinks, how he sleeps... This is done by the people who are entrusted with doing this," the deputy noted.
On the question of the journalist - if not for Saakashvili, Georgia could avoid war and loss of territories, Fridon Indzhiya said:
