The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia believes that it is necessary to differentiate the profit tax in the country's payment system, because the current system clearly needs changes and improvements.
As the chairman of the political group stated in the "Alternative Vision" program of the "Alt Info" TV channel, the need to improve the tax system is indicated by the information spread in the media, according to which Commercial banks in Georgia made a profit of 745 million only in the third quarter.
"Can you imagine how much this number could be in total?" This is a colossal profit, which I find unacceptable. Therefore, it is necessary to differentiate the profit tax in the payment system, thus we will be able to support the lower layer so that they can conduct their activities much more efficiently", said Fridon Injia.
According to him, the proposal of the "European Socialists" party is to create one state investment, commercial bank in the country, which will clearly regulate the situation in the banking sector, thus the state budget will see a profit.
As the chairman of the political group noted, unfortunately, the interests of the World Bank and the IMF intersect in the banking sector, without whose will it is difficult for the country's authorities to make certain decisions.
"The state and the government should take responsibility and, first of all, act only based on the interests of the country and prove to these organizations that the creation of the state bank serves the interests of the country and it is beneficial for our state." - said Fridon Injia.
"I have to remind the Prime Minister, he ordered that he will not sign an action against the country, but inaction can also be directed against the country ... What has been done with regard to medicines is certainly welcome and I hope that our initiative, which envisages the creation of a pharmaceutical enterprise , will also be implemented, because it will be a great achievement for our population, where there are 700-800 thousand pensioners."
"There are a number of issues that can be resolved today, and if our government puts up more sustained pressure to protect the country's interests, it will have more support from the population, which will undoubtedly be a source of pride for the government," Fridon Injia added.
