The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia welcomes the decision made by the Georgian government regarding the port of Anaklia, the construction of which will be done with the participation of the state, where the state will be the owner of the control package 51%.

"Our political group does not is in the majority, but how can you not be happy with the decision that the government takes. This refers to the port of Anaklia, the hydroelectric power station. From this tribune, we have been asked many times the question that all objects of strategic importance, which are in Georgia, and there are not many left, should be under the control of the state. If not completely, the 51st % should still be under the government of the state," said Fridon Injia at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia.

"Let's recall the vicissitudes that happened in Georgia in connection with Namakhvan HPP. If the Georgian government was the owner of the control package of 51 % of Namakhvan HPP, then all this would not have happened there," said Fridon Injia.

Now imagine if the state's share in the banking sector was even 50%, how much profit would be included in the state budget. One billion profit would remain for the state?!" - said Fridon Injia.

At the plenary session of the parliament, the chairman of the political group once again voiced the initiative of the "European Socialists" to create one state investment, commercial bank in the country, which will increase the income and profit in the state budget, and will also be a certain benefit for the population in terms of the use of credit resources.

"Let's review the approach of the government of the People's Republic of China to strategic objects, where the main state-owned infrastructure facilities are in the hands of the state or under their control. Therefore, everything is clearly visible at what pace the People's Republic of China is moving forward." - noted Fridon Injia.

In his speech, the deputy drew attention to the decision made by the government, according to which it became possible for the state to import medicines from the neighboring country at an affordable price.

"Despite this positive decision, we still emphasize that at least one pharmaceutical enterprise should be established in the state, which will produce necessary and primary purpose medicines. And this will give a benefit to that segment of the population, which is in dire need of vital medicines at low prices," said Fridon Injia.

"Can you imagine how much this number could be in total?" This is a colossal profit, which I find unacceptable. Therefore, it is necessary to differentiate the profit tax in the payment system, thus we will be able to support the lower layer so that they can conduct their activities much more efficiently", said Fridon Injia.

According to him, the proposal of the "European Socialists" party is to create one state investment, commercial bank in the country, which will clearly regulate the situation in the banking sector, thus the state budget will see a profit.

As the chairman of the political group noted, unfortunately, the interests of the World Bank and the IMF intersect in the banking sector, without whose will it is difficult for the country's authorities to make certain decisions.

"The state and the government should take responsibility and, first of all, act only based on the interests of the country and prove to these organizations that the creation of the state bank serves the interests of the country and it is beneficial for our state." - said Fridon Injia.

What has been done with regard to medicines is certainly welcome and I hope that our initiative, which envisages the creation of a pharmaceutical enterprise , will also be implemented, because it will be a great achievement for our population, where there are 700-800 thousand pensioners."

"There are a number of issues that can be resolved today, and if our government puts up more sustained pressure to protect the country's interests, it will have more support from the population, which will undoubtedly be a source of pride for the government," Fridon Injia added.
