Georgia will enter the European Union with dignity, or it will not enter with dignity - Fridon Injia

❗️ Georgia will enter the European Union with dignity, or it will not enter with dignity - Fridon Injia

Chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia stated this during the political debate at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia.

In his speech, the chairman of the political group drew attention to the statements made by the ambassadors of the European Union and called their recent speeches a gross interference in the internal affairs of Demar and Georgia.

"Do you think this is not a gross interference in the internal affairs of the country?" Isn't it time to ask them as it happens in countries where they respect themselves and instruct diplomats to be in their place and do what they are supposed to do." - said Fridon Injia.

The deputy also highlighted the issue of giving Georgia a candidate for the European Union and noted that today, when the country has not been given any status, the European Union is trying to enslave the country. However, Fridon Injia is sure that Georgia will withstand this pressure with dignity.

"Today, when we still do not have any status, how do they want to enslave us. Can you imagine if you have been granted status, how they will use this status and what kind of pressure will be put on us. But that's nothing. give us We will withstand this pressure with dignity. More precisely, we will enter with dignity, or we will not enter with dignity." - said Fridon Injia.

The chairman of the political group believes that the European Union should decide what kind of Georgia it wants in the South Caucasus.
At the same time, the deputy emphasized that the current government of Georgia is not acceptable to the European Union, which may be the reason for the country not to be granted the status of a candidate for the European Union.

"The European Union must decide what kind of Georgia it wants in the South Caucasus. As it turns out, they are worried about our government in this way. For this reason, they cannot grant us status, hoping that there will be a civil war in Georgia.

This is what the opposition wants, because they have nothing left to achieve their goals, even by destroying Georgia. But you should know, remember my word – this attempt of yours will be ruined just like the arrival of Saakashvili in Georgia ruined your plans. Hopefully, our government will take all this into account and protect the interests of Georgia." - noted Fridon Injia.

According to the chairman of the political group, Georgia wants to be in the European Union, but not at the expense of losing the country's identity and sovereignty.

"We want to be in the European Union not at the expense of losing our identity and sovereignty. We want to join the European Union for the well-being of the population of Georgia and for the integration of the country. We don't want to join the EU to get involved in war. Georgia is a small country and it takes very little to destroy it. Let's save Georgia". - said Fridon Injia.
