As Friedon Injia noted in his speech, the draft law initiated by the ruling party “On Family Values and Protection of Minors” is absolutely timely due to the attacks that are currently taking place in the world.
“I don’t want anyone in this hall who might have questions about these topics, which are called Georgian values. 30 years ago, there was even an awkward conversation about this issue.
As for the draft law, which I am sure will be included in the Constitution of Georgia in the form of amendments, it is a project developed by “Georgian Dream”, where the governing team is well aware of the essence and meaning of the draft law, because it is really timely to implement these changes due to the attacks that are currently taking place in the world. in the direction
No matter what opposition I am, I have my vision, but what is acceptable and necessary for my country, for my people, I forget that I am the chairman of the opposition party and I support these changes.
At the same time, I would like to emphasize that there are issues that need to be resolved, and I am talking about these issues loudly with the ruling party, and at the same time I am telling them how this or that issue can be resolved, because from an ambush position, I will not be and I do not think it is right to be an opponent of the government because of differences of opinion. .

The chairman of the political group once again stated his personal position regarding the title of the draft law and noted that it is better to replace the title of the draft law on “Family Values” with the term “Georgian Values”.
“Personally, I think it would be better to replace the title – “Family values” with the term – “Georgian values”, which includes everything: – family values, traditions, customs, Christianity, special respect for women, the more historically Georgia had a lady as its king. – King Tamar and many others.
The Georgian family has its own constitution, and this makes us a unique nation. At the same time, the tolerance characteristic of Georgia and the fact that our coexistence with people of different nationalities in Georgia and the customs and traditions that have been carried out are very important.
This is my opinion, although I have nothing against the presented project, because I believe that it is necessary to accept it.
In general, I would welcome it if such a subject about “Georgian values”, which is the achievement of our ancestors, is introduced in schools.” – noted the deputy.
