The chairman of the parliamentary political group “European Socialists” Fridon Injia comes out with an initiative to create a special manual on “Georgian values” that will be studied in schools.
It will be no less important to translate such a manual and start teaching “Georgian values” in Europe.
The MP announced this at a meeting with the population in Ambrolauri, where a public discussion was held regarding the constitutional drafts of Georgia “On Amendments to the Constitution of Georgia” and “On Family Values and Protection of Minors”.
According to Fridon Injia, in his opinion, it would be good to replace the title “Family Values” with the term “Georgian Values” in the draft law, because Georgian values include a broad concept, such as: family values, Christianity, Orthodoxy, great love and respect for the mother tongue, filial piety and many others.
“In the process of the general public debate, I found myself as the chairman of one of the opposition parties, and I want to point out that being an oppositionist does not mean being a leader of the government and the country. I believe that with this team, which is in power today, it is possible to cooperate on various issues, especially around the topics that are so relevant recently, which is acceptable for me and my people. Therefore, I think that in this process I should also express my position and fix the position of my political party”, said the deputy.
According to the chairman of the political group, the country is facing quite a lot of challenges recently, and it is worth emphasizing that the current government is handling these processes with dignity and courage.
“As an example, I can cite the issue of granting Georgia the status of a candidate for the European Union, when the Georgian government took a principled position and unequivocally stated that the European Union should accept Georgia as it is.
When it comes to family values, I would say that it is better to replace it with Georgian values, because the concept of Georgian values itself includes family values, traditions, Christianity, filial piety and many others.
I would also like to point out that it would be good to publish a manual on “Georgian values” to be studied in schools. It will be no less important that such a manual be translated and “Georgian values” be taught in Europe, because our state stands on Georgian values and the decision of the Georgian government to introduce important and key laws for the state is really timely.
It is by protecting Georgian values that it will be possible to build the state, develop it and protect our future generations,” Fridon Injia announced.
The chairman of the political group at the meeting with the population in Ambrolauri, with healing warmth and respect, conjured famous Georgian personalities who were originally from Racha, such as: Zurab Kafianidze, Tengiz Archvadze, Omar Mkheidze, Aleksandre Javelidze and many others.
The deputy also emphasized the special characteristics of the Rachi corner, which is one of the most important components of Georgian values, main traditions and values, along with other corners of Georgia.
