Только потому, что вы считаете, что Грузия недостаточно антироссийская, у Европарламента есть проблемы по поводу верховенства закона в Грузии? Это отчаянное лицемерие.

Об этом перед Европарламентом заявил евродепутат и политический партнер грузинских «Европейских Социалистов» Мик Уоллес, отметив, что перед началом войны Украина была признана Европейской Счетной Палатой одной из самых коррумпированных стран Европы.

“В июне прошлого года мы дали статус кандидата Украине, но не дали Грузии. Кто-нибудь здесь думает, что Украина более правовое государство, чем Грузия? Прямо перед началом войны Европейская Счетная Палата опубликовала отчет по Украине и признала ее одной из самых коррумпированных стран Европы – но мы дали “статус кандидата” Украине. И только потому что вы считаете, что Грузия недостаточно антироссийская, у нас есть проблемы по поводу верховенства закона в Грузии? Это отчаянное лицемерие», — заявил Мик Уоллес.

Политический партнер и друг грузинской парламентской политической группы и партии «Европейские Социалисты» Мик Уоллес выступил перед Европарламентом и призвал депутатов предоставить Грузии статус кандидата на вступление в ЕС.

 «В июне прошлого года Грузии было отказано в статусе кандидата не потому, что они не соответствовали критериям, а потому, что антироссийские настроения не были выражены более чем достаточно.

 В список требований, как условие для получения статуса кандидата, вы внесли не вопрос мира, а вопрос Саакашвили.

 Этот человек (Саакашвили) наводил террор в Грузии подобно Пиночету, и при его правлении в государстве было до 300 тысяч осужденных, люди пострадали, многие были искалечены, некоторые убиты.

Тем временем Запад финансирует НПО, сеющих раскол. Когда правительство представило законопроект, который внес бы НПО в повестку дня, ЕС выступил с критикой, несмотря на то, что в США уже много лет действует такой же закон, и ЕС также планирует принять этот законопроект.

 Грузия не заинтересована в войне и развертывании второго фронта в государстве. Она хочет иметь хорошие отношения со всеми и, в особенности, с соседними странами.

Должна ли Грузия отказаться от своего суверенитета, чтобы присоединиться к Европейскому Союзу? Должна ли она поощрять войну вместо мира?

Дайте Грузии статус кандидата в ЕС, и пусть народ сам – без вмешательства из вне – решает, хочет вступить в Евросоюз или нет», — заявил Мик Уоллес.

❗️ Speech by Mick Wallace, a political partner and friend of the parliamentary political group and the party of “European Socialists” in the European Parliament regarding the granting of EU candidate status to Georgia.
🔺 “Last June, Georgia was denied candidate status, not because they failed to meet the criteria, but because anti-Russian sentiment was not expressed more than enough.
🔺 In the list of demands, as a condition for the candidate status, you did not put peace, but the issue of Saakashvili.
🔺 This person (Saakashvili) established terror in Georgia like Pinochet and had up to 300 thousand convicts in the state. During his rule, people were injured, maimed and many died.
🔺 Regarding the uproar regarding the draft law on non-governmental organizations, I would like to mention that the same law has been in force in the United States of America for years, and the European Union is also planning to adopt this draft law.
🔺 Georgia is not interested in war and opening a second front in the state. He wants to have good relations with everyone and healing with his neighboring countries.
🔺 The pressure, which was manifested by the European Union against limiting the country’s sovereignty, is aimed at promoting war, not peace.
🔺 Give Georgia the status of EU candidate. Let the Georgian people decide and show their strong will whether to join the European Union or not”, says Mick Wallace.
