Fridon Injia's speech at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia, where Zurab Azarashvili, Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection from the Occupied Territories of Georgia, presented himself by interpellation

📍 The speech of the chairman of the political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia, where Zurab Azarashvili, Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection from the Occupied Territories of Georgia, presented himself by interpellation.

🔹 "Today, in Georgia, up to 951 TP2T of medical institutions are sold, which is not the case in any European country. The percentage in European countries is distributed evenly between states and private companies.

🔹 You, as the Minister of Health, are responsible for the health condition of the citizens of our country and the availability and quality of medical services.

🔹 Therefore, I believe that in every district, at the first stage, there should be at least one medical institution, which is responsible for the ministry, and in the next stage, medical institutions should be opened in large settlements, and these medical institutions should definitely be under the control of the state.
The second issue concerns the Republican Hospital, which has always been exemplary and successful. This institution is currently under the control of the state, but the situation there is not favorable and I am requesting you to review the situation there today.

🔹 I believe that the Republican Hospital should be the face of the medical staff, the Ministry of Health, and Georgia as a whole. Take measures and make at least one medical institution in Tbilisi exemplary.

🔹 As a Georgian man, my heart hurts that the children of our country are in other countries and are working there as doctors and quite successfully. During the pandemic, many such Georgian doctors gave us useful advice and instructions in the fight against Covid.

🔹 The children of our motherland, who were educated here, or were partially educated in Georgia and then continued their studies abroad, unfortunately, today, they do not serve our people.

🔹 Our proposal is that the government of Georgia undertakes to create appropriate conditions so that Georgian doctors who have left Georgia can come to Georgia and serve their people and homeland. Or, we can use their knowledge and practical experience as much as possible through today's digital technologies, thereby increasing the quality of medical services.

🔹 Regarding the emergency situation coordination and emergency assistance center, where about 1200 employees work, I received information that during the time of the former director of the center, Alexander Kalandia, a promise was made that the existing covid supplement, which amounts to about 600 GEL, would be given to the employees in the form of a salary, which until now It didn't happen. Today, the director of the center is Aleksandre Kutibashvili, and these people are demanding an answer to this promise, and I believe that they must receive an answer to this issue.

🔹 I hope you will consider our suggestions and comments and make appropriate decisions.

🔹 I thank you and all medical workers for the dedicated work you did during the hardest period of the pandemic.
good luck".

(Original) "European Socialists" believe that the interests of Georgia should be clearly spelled out in any draft law initiated in the Parliament

20.09.22

"When initiating draft laws, the explanations generally mention: the substance of the draft law, the financial impact of the draft law on the state budget, children's rights, international obligations, international law, relations with international organizations, association agreements, and so on. But one important thing is not written here - the interests of Georgia. Law projects must clearly describe how this or that legislative initiative serves the interests of Georgia".

At the plenary session of the Parliament, the chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya stated this.

According to his words, the question often sounds, do we want European integration?

"We want everything that will be in the interest of Georgia," Fridon Indzhiya added.

The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya is confident that in the case of a public opinion poll, the government will receive only one answer, that Georgia does not need a national defender.

"I am confident that if we conduct a survey now, we will get the answer that Georgia does not need a People's Defender, but unfortunately, we still do not have a legal state, and it is written in the Constitution that the institution of the People's Defender must exist. I believe that the People's Defender should protect the faith, customs, culture, and history of all people living in our country, without exception. Therefore, let's choose a person who loves his country and is faithful to it", said the deputy.

(Оригинал) Discussion of the project of changes in the main financial document of Georgia for 2022 continues in the Parliament

16.09.22

The main parameters of the planned changes in the state budget for 2022 and the current economic trends were discussed by the members of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" with the first deputy minister of finance of Georgia Giorgi Kakauridze.

«Taking into account the existing trends, we changed the annual forecasts. The rates of economic growth will be higher than planned – 8.5%, and we also have additional income that we distribute in two directions. The first and most important is the reduction of the budget deficit and debt. Приблизительно на 700 million гали the debt that was originally planned is reduced. Второе direction – financing of necessary expenses, which the country has taken on itself as an obligation. This is the social protection of children, the employment of the socially unprotected, the development of agriculture, infrastructure, the provision of social guarantees to the police and military personnel, as well as important infrastructure projects in different municipalities of the country," Georgiy Kakauridze noted.

According to Fridon Indzhii, "European Socialists" support the planned changes, as the tax revenues of the united budget increase by 1,266.0 million GEL.

"This is a rather large sum and the budget increase is welcomed. However, the distribution of additional income is important. There may be some questions in this direction. When distributing money, first of all, the needs that appeared this year should be taken into account", said the chairman of the parliamentary political group Fridon Indzhiya.

15.09.22

At the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for the Protection of Human Rights and Civil Integration, the head of the political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya presented a draft of amendments to the Organic Law "On the Citizenship of Georgia", which provides for the simplification of procedures for obtaining citizenship for persons who left Georgia for various reasons and their children.

During the presentation of the bill, Fridon Indzhiya stated that the main purpose of these changes is to simplify the procedures for granting citizenship to those persons who were forced to move to live in another state due to difficult economic, political or military conditions, as well as their children.

"It is necessary to insert into the law provisions that will facilitate the acquisition of citizenship for persons who wish to return to their historical roots, so that there are no restrictions and barriers for them, such as testing in the state language, the history of Georgia and the foundations of law. Primery tom - Israel, Greece... Such a policy from the state will contribute to the strengthening of the country", said Fridon Indzhiya.

One of the initiators of this project of changes, the vice-speaker of the Parliament, Avtandil Enukidze, emphasized at the meeting of the commission that their task is to encourage Georgians to return to their homeland.

"If a person was born a Georgian, wherever he was born, he is a Georgian... He does not know the language, if he is not allowed into the country, he will never learn the language," Avtandil Enukidze said.

Some members of the Committee on Human Rights and Civil Integration supported the idea and principle of the draft law.
