(Original) Fridon Indzhiya proposed to the Minister of Justice to inform people about the decisions made and implemented in different periods of Saakashvili's rule

16.12.22

📍 The head of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya, speaking before the Parliament, where the hearing of the Minister of Justice of Georgia Rati Bregadze was held, focused attention on the draft law on amendments to the "Law on Citizenship of Georgia" initiated by his political group.

🔸 "I was interested in your vision regarding the "Citizenship Law". Our bill provides for obtaining citizenship of Georgia in a simplified procedure for those persons who were forced to leave their homeland due to military conflicts or any other hopeless situation in the country from 1992 to 2009. I didn't satisfy your answer. I understand that today you are facing a difficult challenge, but, nevertheless, there are committees and sufficiently qualified lawyers in the Parliament of Georgia, thanks to which, I think, this issue will be resolved positively, and justice will be restored. Children and grandchildren of those people who left their homeland due to the vicissitudes of fate, should not be left aside because of insufficient knowledge of the Georgian language," said Fridon Indzhiya.

🔸 The deputy believes that it is also necessary to adopt a law on misinformation and insult.

"Insulting state symbols, the first persons of the state, is not acceptable for anyone, and it is extremely important to take this into account," the head of "European Socialists" noted.

🔸 Deputy Indzhiya believes that society should not forget the difficult realities and results of the rule of President Mikhail Saakashvili. With this goal, he proposed to inform the population about the decisions made and implemented in different periods of his administration.

🔸 "We have to remind the society everything that had a place and cannot be forgotten, and then years, tens of years pass and nothing seems to have happened... But this was a very important part of our life. Thanks to informing the population, the ministry's work will be appreciated," said Fridon Indzhiya.

(Original) "Until we talk directly with the Abkhazians, nothing will happen, we will not solve the problem with one statement" - Fridon Indzhiya

15.12.22

🔴 "You, as a minister, do not use the opportunities, connections, contacts, knowledge, experience that are in our society in relation to Abkhazians and in the issue of Abkhazia as a whole. For these years, nothing has been done for rapprochement with the Abkhazians. The center of the question is located in Abkhazia, and everything is decided there, and we walk around and around. Nothing will happen until we talk directly with the Abkhazians. Only with resolutions, statements of concern or funds that work outside of Abkhazia, the case will not move forward. "Financing of education, healthcare and other things is like a feather in the air - it doesn't change anything", said the chairman of the political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya in the Parliament, where they listened to the report of the Minister of State on the issues of reconciliation and civil equality.

🔴 According to the deputy, it is necessary to interest the Abkhaz side in successful projects that are implemented in Georgia.

🔴 "It is necessary to use all possible ways - to find out what interests they have, why they do not come to us and prefer Russia. We have to analyze everything. Должны создать такие отзывы, что все те блага, что высокой создаться на остенной территории Горииии, были программы для них. What's stopping them... we need to talk. В первый раз, может не протився, в second раз, в тредий... Then among them there will be people who will be interested. They are our brothers, they will be near. Therefore, if we do something, it should be profitable for them, the port of Anaklia and many other things," said Fridon Indzhiya.

🔴 The deputy emphasized that it is necessary to talk with the local de facto authorities, and the Georgian side should use the Constitution, which was created during the rule of President Zviad Gamsakhurdi.

The head of "European Socialists" believes that family ties, the Abkhaz Institute of Elders and many other opportunities are not used at all.

🔴 Fridon Indzhiya came forward with the initiative to create in the Parliament the appropriate committee on issues of conflict resolution and integration.

🔴"There should be a committee in the Parliament, not a commission, which will deal with regulation and integration issues. In the cabinet of ministers of Japan, which, like us, is in conflict with Russia on territorial issues, there is a position of minister for relations with Russia. It was an opening for me," said the deputy.

🔴 «Probably, there are countries that are not interested in our dialogue with the Abkhazians. For the last years, the US embassy never declared the need for dialogue between the parties, did not voice demands in relation to Russia, did not express readiness... Until when should we be so distant from each other? You, as a minister, must take responsibility and, based on the interests of Georgia, prove to everyone who interferes what and how it is necessary to do. Мы жили вместе и будем жить вместе.

🔴 "I am addressing our brothers, Abkhazians. My Abkhazians, my brothers, we are open. We have nothing to hide. I am talking to our brothers, with whom we have a common state history, where our relatives live, where our dead are buried, and it is necessary to think about it," the deputy noted.

🔴 In his speech, the Chairman of the political group also drew attention to the draft law of "European Socialists", which provides for amendments to the law on citizenship.

🔴 "The changes should affect those citizens whose children and grandchildren were forced to leave the country, as the state was unable to protect them, and at present, according to the current legislation, we deny them the citizenship of Georgia, due to not knowing the Georgian language at the proper level ", - noted Indzhiya.

🔴 He expressed the hope that common sense will prevail and this question will also be resolved positively.

(Original) "Are you ready to go with me to Sukhumi..." - Fridon Indzhiya to the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality

15.12.22

"Are you ready to go with me to Sukhumi? We will go directly and communicate with our neighbors, our brothers on our common land... and do you need the approval of the American embassy for this?"

With this question, the chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya turned to the state minister for reconciliation and civil equality Tei Akhvlediani, who presented a report to the Parliament within the framework of the minister's listening format provided by the regulation.

«I have a list, and I choose people who are ready, and they accepted this proposal with enthusiasm. It is important that they allow you to do this. You didn't answer my question", said the deputy, asking questions to the minister.

🔹 Are there any countries that are not interested in our reconciliation with the Abkhazians? And if yes, then why is it not in their interests?

🔹 Why does the de facto government of Abkhazia refuse to contact us?

🔹 Have you ever tried to negotiate directly - one on one?

🔹 Is reconciliation possible without dialogue?

🔹 Can you tell the de facto authorities of Abkhazia that you are talking to them as an autonomous republic, as it was defined by the Constitution in the first half of 1992. As for the later period, when they proclaimed independence, this is another topic of discussion.

(Original) "High-tech enterprises, created by young scientists, should be exempted from taxes for 3 years" — new initiative of Fridona Indzhiya

10.12.22

In Georgia, it is necessary to secure the young generation of scientists and intellectual capital, for this it is necessary to exempt from taxes the enterprises created on the basis of modern technologies.

The head of "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya spoke with this initiative at the plenary session of the Parliament.

«Enterprises based on modern technologies, created by young scientists, must be exempted from taxes for 3 years. "Educated youth will not leave the country and will create enterprises here, there will be no outflow of intellectual capital from Georgia," said Fridon Indzhiya.

According to him, modern high technologies created by young scientists, and enterprises equipped on their basis, can be implemented in many spheres, including agriculture and industry.

"If these projects are supported and approved by the Ministry of Economy, it will attract more investments to Georgia", - noted the chairman of "European Socialists".

(Original) Head of "European Socialists" believes that in the tax system it is necessary to differentiate the profit tax

10.12.22

The chairman of the political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya in an interview with "Alt-Info" TV channel stated that the profit of commercial banks of Georgia, which only in the third quarter amounted to 745 million GEL, in itself indicates the need to improve the tax system.

"Can you imagine how much profit will be in a year? This is a colossal figure, and I think it is unacceptable. It is necessary to differentiate the profit tax, so that we can support a certain segment of the population, so that they could carry out activities much more effectively", - said Fridon Indzhiya.

"European Socialists" propose to create at least one state investment, commercial bank in the country, which will clearly regulate the situation in the banking sector, and thus, the state budget will receive a profit.

"The state and the government must take responsibility and, first of all, act only based on the interests of the country and prove to the World Bank and the IMF that the creation of a state bank is beneficial to our state. There are a number of issues that can be resolved if the government shows greater resilience in protecting Georgia's interests," the deputy noted.
