 The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya held a press conference in the highest legislative body about the need to create a temporary parliamentary commission to investigate the causes and events preceding the August 2008 war.

• "Several weeks ago, the initiative of investigating the war of 2008 was voiced by public representatives.

This demand and the need for an objective investigation was voiced more than once from the rostrum of the Parliament and in various media by the deputy group of our party.

• The truth about what and how it happened, as a result of which we lost territory, interests our public, as well as the family members of 408 people who died in this war. In addition, it is necessary for our future, our history, so that there are no black spots of uncertainty.

 The war of 2008 was evaluated by the Tagliavini commission, later the chronology of the beginning of the war was reflected in the resolution of the Council of Europe, which was also supported by the National Movement. The current president of Georgia has expressed his position on the topic of war during the presidential elections.

 However, Georgian society still has no clear information about what actually happened in August 2008:

Who and what role he played in the adoption of the tripartite agreement on the cessation of fire;

 What was the cost of the military equipment that was written off after the war, and at all, was this equipment available, and also where was it located;

In addition to the authorized persons who were involved in the decision-making on the part of Georgia and many other issues that are still being discussed in our society;

 We believe that each of these issues needs to be carefully investigated, as they have repeatedly stated. The investigation can be started both in the prosecutor's office and in the format of the parliamentary temporary commission. Loss or transfer of 20% territory of Georgia should not remain unpunished!

Based on the above, our party begins to collect signatures on the topic of the investigation of the August 2008 war - with the goal of starting a prosecutor's investigation, as well as creating a temporary parliamentary investigative commission. We will go to all regions of the country to collect signatures and explain to people the importance of the results of the investigation of the 2008 war, as well as what the new war will bring.

This question is all the more relevant today that the government representatives are openly talking about the danger of opening a second front in Georgia.

• We must do everything so that what happened in August 2008 will never happen again in Georgia.

 We are confident that a thorough investigation of the 2008 war will make a significant contribution to the prevention of a new war.

Вице-спикер Парламента Грузии Автандил Енукидзе на заседании бюро Парламента призвал власти страны принять меры против фашистской организаций в Грузии.

«После Нюрнбергского процесса подобный масштабный форум не проводился, который в свое время осудил фашистские организации и их существование во всем мире. Не знаю, смотрите вы или нет, но в соцсетях активно распространяется информация о том, что некто, по имени Георгий Челидзе уже создал фашистскую организацию и объявил о начале действий в разных городах страны. В мире запрещена подобная идеология. Кого ждете, или что-то должно произойти? Не исключено, что эта организация будет использована во время выборов.

Призываю вас, обратить на это внимание. Примите меры! Будь я у власти, я бы принял меры, вплоть до запрета и ареста. Это же всемирная резолюция, запрещающая фашизм, ее же не приняли только русские, чтобы моя позиция не посчиталась в качестве нарратива. Резолюцию поддержали американцы, французы, англичане и др. Почему мы на это не реагируем?», — заявил Автандил Енукидзе.

• According to the deputy, a lot of work was done in the Parliament last year, up to 300 laws were adopted, but there is not one among them that would change life for the better for the majority of the country's citizens.
• "Among the adopted laws, I did not see a single law that, for example, would have given an incentive to better life for our citizens in some high-mountain village of Georgia or would have changed the lives of people living in the city or working in the markets..." - said Fridon Инджия.

Or I want to have a fourth child in my family, and I expect that the Parliament will pass a law that will give a kind of incentive to take on the responsibility of raising one more child for the country. For example, a family with many children should receive additional housing and many other things.
• As a parent of a schoolboy, I want my child to receive a quality education at school, which will allow him to enter universities both in Georgia and abroad without additional tutors. Therefore, I am waiting for a law that will facilitate this.
•  As a voter, I am waiting for a law that obliges the government to limit the growth of prices and regulate the prices of products and energy sources.
• I am waiting for a law that provides benefits for young people who have served in the military, which will be provided after returning from the army, for example, work or study. This will be a big incentive.
• Or I'm waiting for a law that gives me the opportunity, as a consumer, to choose a company for electricity, gas and water supply, as it is customary in Europe, and we want to adopt a good experience from Europe...
• Or we will take the question of our compatriots who are scattered around the world. I want the Parliament to adopt a law that will push them to think about returning to their homeland. An example for me is Israel and its government, which gathers and unites its citizens around the world. Look at the level of their science, or the army, and the order in the state. We have to take good experience from both Israel and China. Europe should not become a dogma. •  At the same time, the head of "European Socialists" touched on the draft law "On deoligarhization" and noted that this law will not contribute to the attraction of rich compatriots to Georgia.    
• «In any successful European country there is a similar law? "If a person earns money legally, it is his right and his business," said the deputy.
• He also took the initiative to introduce a certain quota for the parliamentary opposition on the adoption of laws, which will allow the minority to introduce projects that will actually be adopted.

📍 At the first plenary session of the spring session of the Parliament of Georgia, the head of the political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya expressed his condolences to Turkey over the tragedy caused by the strong earthquake.

📍 The deputy thanked the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey, Georgi Dzhandjhav for the work done, which, according to Fridon Indzhii, is exemplary, and the ambassador worthy represents tens of thousands of Georgians working in Turkey, supporting them both in grief and joy.

🔸 "Ambassador Georgy Dzandzhava conducts various cultural events and business meetings in Turkey, acts on behalf of Georgia and is a link between our government and the government of Turkey. He supports the Georgian diaspora in Turkey, and his work is truly exemplary," Fridon Indzhiya said.

🔸 After this, the deputy drew a parallel with the activities of the head of the Georgian Interests Section of the Swiss Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy Georgi Kadzhai and the Consul Sozar Quinchi, who, according to him, are not fulfilling their duties.      

🔸 "There are up to a million Georgians living in the Russian Federation, who contribute a great deal to the development of the Georgian economy. 🔸 "The leadership of the Section of Interests of Georgia should be a bridge between our compatriots living in Russia, who have more than a million relatives living here in Georgia. They should help our diaspora, but this is like a separate kingdom. Nobody controls their activities, they do whatever they want... The government doesn't go there, we don't have diplomatic relations with Russia. In fact, the Georgian diaspora and its leader David Tsetskhladze, who gathered our diaspora all over Russia, held two congresses, organizes concerts, exhibitions and does truly Georgian work, perform the duties of the leadership of the Section of Interests of Georgia today. Today he really performs the duties of consulship and representative office of Georgia in Russia", - stressed Fridon Indzhiya.  

🔸 The deputy believes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia should be interested in the activities of the Section of Interests of Georgia in the Russian Federation.

🔴 The Chairman of "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya and the political active party welcome the statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, that in the case of the unification of Georgia, investments in the amount of 10 billion dollars will be made in Abkhazia and Samachablo in the first three years.

🔴 Presenting the report for the past year 2022, Prime Minister Garibashvili said that in case of reunification of Georgia, Abkhazia can become the second Monaco, and Sukhumi - the second Monte Carlo. Garibashvili emphasized that the central government of Georgia can invest 10 billion dollars in the development of Abkhazia and Samachablo in the first three years after reunification. At the same time, the prime minister noted that the policy regarding the occupied Georgian territories will not be reviewed, and the government of Georgia will try to reunite the country peacefully.

🔴 "We welcome the statement of the Prime Minister on the continuation of the peace policy in relation to the occupied regions, reconciliation and cooperation on the basis of common interests, restoration of trust, improvement of the social and economic situation of the population that suffered as a result of the conflict, and reconciliation of a deliberately divided society," the statement says. 🔴 "Unfortunately, due to the political climate created by the Georgian radical opposition, the issue of the territorial integrity of the country, which is the foundation of the well-being and stable development of any state, is irrelevant today and is secondary, which is unacceptable and it is necessary to change the political agenda," the statement said.
