📍 The speech of the chairman of the political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia, where Zurab Azarashvili, Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection from the Occupied Territories of Georgia, presented himself by interpellation.

🔹 "Today, in Georgia, up to 951 TP2T of medical institutions are sold, which is not the case in any European country. The percentage in European countries is distributed evenly between states and private companies.

🔹 You, as the Minister of Health, are responsible for the health condition of the citizens of our country and the availability and quality of medical services.

🔹 Therefore, I believe that in every district, at the first stage, there should be at least one medical institution, which is responsible for the ministry, and in the next stage, medical institutions should be opened in large settlements, and these medical institutions should definitely be under the control of the state.
The second issue concerns the Republican Hospital, which has always been exemplary and successful. This institution is currently under the control of the state, but the situation there is not favorable and I am requesting you to review the situation there today.

🔹 I believe that the Republican Hospital should be the face of the medical staff, the Ministry of Health, and Georgia as a whole. Take measures and make at least one medical institution in Tbilisi exemplary.

🔹 As a Georgian man, my heart hurts that the children of our country are in other countries and are working there as doctors and quite successfully. During the pandemic, many such Georgian doctors gave us useful advice and instructions in the fight against Covid.

🔹 The children of our motherland, who were educated here, or were partially educated in Georgia and then continued their studies abroad, unfortunately, today, they do not serve our people.

🔹 Our proposal is that the government of Georgia undertakes to create appropriate conditions so that Georgian doctors who have left Georgia can come to Georgia and serve their people and homeland. Or, we can use their knowledge and practical experience as much as possible through today's digital technologies, thereby increasing the quality of medical services.

🔹 Regarding the emergency situation coordination and emergency assistance center, where about 1200 employees work, I received information that during the time of the former director of the center, Alexander Kalandia, a promise was made that the existing covid supplement, which amounts to about 600 GEL, would be given to the employees in the form of a salary, which until now It didn't happen. Today, the director of the center is Aleksandre Kutibashvili, and these people are demanding an answer to this promise, and I believe that they must receive an answer to this issue.

📍 The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia assessed the fact of the attack on the "Bank of Georgia" branch in Kutaisi on September 20 at the session of the parliamentary bureau and noted that it is necessary to tighten measures so that such an incident does not happen again.

🔸 He thanked the law enforcement officers and personally the Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri for the successful special operation.

🔸 The chairman of the political group expressed hope that the proposal to take preventive measures in relation to the crime will have maximum support from the legislative body.

📍 Chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia focused on the issue of copyrights at the plenary session and noted that the control over copyrights is not the responsibility of the executive power and its structures. This requirement is uniquely defined and differentiated by all EU legislation and acts.

🔹 Therefore, according to the request of the European Commission and the Association Agreement, the legislation of Georgia must be in full agreement and harmonization with the legislation of the European Union.

📍 Chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia believes that in any bill that will be initiated in the highest legislative body, it should be clearly described how this or that initiative responds to the interests of Georgia.

"When initiating bills, the explanatory card mainly mentions: the essence of the bill, how the bill has a financial impact on the state budget, children's rights, international obligations, international law, relations with international organizations, association agreement and so on. But one main thing is not written here - the interests of Georgia.
Bills should clearly describe how this or that legislative initiative serves the interests of Georgia", said the MP.

🔹 The chairman of the political group is sure that in the event of a survey of the population, the government will receive only one answer, that Georgia does not need a public defender.

🔹 "My personal view is that Georgia does not need a public defender, if there is rule of law in the state. Unfortunately, there is still no rule of law, and it is written in the constitution that there should be an institution of the public defender. Therefore, I believe that the public defender should protect the beliefs, customs, history, culture of all people living in Georgia, and the rights of all citizens. Therefore, let's choose a person who loves the motherland, is loyal and worthy," said Fridon Injia.
