📍 Chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia responded to the September 19 statement of 4 MPs of the public movement "People's Power" at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia, regarding the issue of financing by the United States of America, where it is noted that "American financing in Georgia is not aimed at strengthening the democratic system , but it is aimed at shaking it."

🔹 At the plenary session, Fridon Injia appealed to his colleagues to read the mentioned statement carefully, because it contains many important and interesting issues, which he has repeatedly emphasized in his parliamentary speeches.

The amendment to the law "On the State Budget of Georgia for 2022" continues to be discussed in the Parliament

📍 In the Parliament, discussion on the amendment to the Georgian Law "On the State Budget of Georgia for 2022" continues.

🔹 Members of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" met with the First Deputy Minister of Finance, Giorgi Kakauridze. The first deputy minister introduced the main changes to the main financial document to the deputies and talked about economic trends.

🔹 "Taking into account the existing trends, we changed the annual forecasts. The rate of economic growth will be higher than initially planned - 8.5%, and we also have additional revenues, which we distribute in two directions. The first and most important is to reduce the budget deficit and debt. The planned debt collection is reduced by approximately 700 million GEL. The second direction is the financing of the necessary expenses, which the country has undertaken as an obligation. This is the direction of children's social protection, employment of the socially vulnerable, development of agriculture, infrastructure, provision of social guarantees for policemen and soldiers, and those infrastructural projects that are important for the well-being of our population in various municipalities", said Giorgi Kakauridze.

🔹 According to Fridon Injia, "European Socialists" support the planned changes in the state budget, as tax revenues of the combined budget increase by 1,266.0 million GEL.

🔹 "This is quite a large amount and the budget increase is welcome. However, how this additional income is distributed is important. There may be some questions in this direction. When distributing the money, first of all, the needs that appeared this year should be taken into account," said the chairman of the parliamentary political group.

Legislative initiative of the European Socialists

📍 Fridon Injia presented the legislative initiative of the "European Socialists" political group on simplifying the procedures for obtaining Georgian citizenship to the Human Rights Protection Committee for consideration.

🔹 At the meeting of the Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration Committee, the head of the political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia presented a draft of amendments to the Organic Law "On Citizenship", which aims to simplify the procedures for obtaining Georgian citizenship for people who left Georgia for various reasons and their children.

🔹 As Fridon Injia stated during the presentation of the project, the main essence of the mentioned changes is to simplify the procedures for granting citizenship to those persons and also their children who had to leave the country and move to live in another state due to a number of circumstances - economic, political or war conditions.

🔹 "It is necessary to have reservations in the law that will make it easier for people who want to return to their historical roots to get citizenship, so that there are no restrictions and barriers for them, such as testing in the state language, the history of Georgia and the basics of law. Examples of this are Israel, Greece... such a policy on the part of the state will contribute to the strengthening of the country", said Fridon Injia.

🔹 As one of the initiators of the mentioned changes, Avtandil Enukidze, the vice-speaker of the Parliament, said at the meeting of the committee, the task and spirit of these changes is to attract Georgians to return to their homeland.

🔹 "He was born Georgian, and no matter where he was born, he is Georgian... He does not know the language, if you do not let him in, he will never learn the language," said Avtandil Enukidze.
Some of the members of the Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration Committee supported the idea and spirit of the bill.

The law should not allow the activity of such an organization that acts against the country - Freedon Eng

👉 "The law should not allow the activity of such an organization that acts against the country" - Fridon Injia

The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia believes that the activities of non-governmental organizations should be regulated by the law and the law should not allow such an organization to operate against the country.

"We have no other solution, we have allowed everything... the rule of law will sort everything out. It may be painful for the Prime Minister, the Prosecutor's Office or the Parliament, but it has to be done... the culprit must be in prison. Laws are also applicable to the same defamation and insults. On which channel will you see even in France or England and other democratic countries such swearing, fights and beatings as we have. Even if they say a single word to someone who is incomprehensible, slanderous, they will spend their whole life in the courts. A similar precedent should be created with us..." - said Fridon Injia on the live broadcast of "Alt-Info" TV.

According to him, there are about 200 non-governmental organizations that operate and are financed "from those countries that have an interest in having their government in Georgia, and not the government elected by the Georgian people, and which, on the one hand, finance them and on the other hand demand that the government be transferred." destructive opposition".

The supervisory function of the parliament is at the level of the friendly court of the communists - Fridon Injia

"The issue of implementing parliamentary supervision and control is one of the most important of the 12 recommendations developed by the European Commission for Georgia to be a truly parliamentary republic, the government is really a doer, and the parliament is a supervisor. We have made some progress in this case, but not much," said Fridon Injia, chairman of the political group "European Socialists" at the meeting of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, where the results of the work of the working group created on issues of parliamentary control were discussed.

According to him, if the members of the Cabinet of Ministers do not feel that avoiding and not answering the question asked by the MP can be punished, then this activity will not have an effect.

"Our mechanisms are now at the level of the friendly court of communists. They would tell the person, behave well, and he would leave. If the parliament does not have the strong power to make the government feel the control of the parliament elected by the people, it will not work. Question and answer, the minister came, left, gave an answer, if he avoided, nothing happens. If the inaction or action of the official is not punishable at least in the second or third case, then the supervisory function of the parliament will not become effective", said Fridon Injia.
