Pridon Injia reminded the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili at the extraordinary plenary session of the Parliament that he is not the Minister of Foreign Affairs and that the foreign policy of the country is determined only by the Parliament and the Government.

📍 The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia reminded the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili at the extraordinary plenary session of the Parliament that he is no longer the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the foreign policy of the country is determined only by the Parliament and the Government.

🔹 President Salome Zurabishvili presented an annual report to the highest legislative body at an extraordinary session, where she expressed her displeasure because the parliament did not express a desire to hear information about her meetings in Europe and the United States of America.

🔹 "The President expressed his displeasure that he wanted the Parliament to hear about his travels, but I have to remind the Madam President that he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but today he is not the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the foreign policy of the country is determined only by the Parliament and the Government, and he as According to the country's constitution, the president has no contact with foreign policy", said Fridon Injia.

🔹 According to him, if the president considers the issues of foreign relations based on his experience abroad, in such a case, he should agree with the parliament, the government, the one who determines the country's foreign policy.

🔹 "During such meetings, certain issues that need to be resolved are put on the agenda, and the president does not have the opportunity to make decisions at such a time. And this, I think, harms the country. Therefore, if it is agreed with the relevant institutions that are concerned with the determination of foreign policy, then the trips of the president to Europe or America will be more effective, that is when there will be complete agreement", said Fridon Injia.

Fridon Injia expressed hope that Salome Zurabishvili will be able to withstand the pressure she is experiencing in various aspects.

🔹 Chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia addressed the president of the country Salome Zurabishvili at an extraordinary plenary session in the highest legislative body, who presented an annual report to the parliament.
🔹 Fridon Injia expressed hope at the extraordinary session that Salome Zurabishvili will be able to withstand the pressure she is experiencing in various aspects.
🔹 "I want to draw the attention of our president to such an issue. In particular, the last presidents of Georgia were in different positions and had different visions in the first period of their presidency. In the second half of the presidency, their views changed. However, this does not only apply to presidents. Today there are many politicians who were in a 180 degree different position some time ago and today are in a completely different camp.
🔹 I hope that our president will have the strength to withstand the pressure. Pressure can be of different types, in different aspects. Now I don't want to go into specifics about what kind of pressure I have in mind", said Fridon Injia.

I do not consider it expedient that the Security Council session was attended by representatives of parties that put their party interests above the interests of the country.

📍 In the opinion of the chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia, it is unacceptable that representatives of such parties who put their own party interests above the interests of the country participated in the meeting of the country's Security Council.
🔹 Fridon Injia announced this at the extraordinary plenary session of the parliament, where the country's president Salome Zurabishvili addressed the parliament with an annual report.
🔹 In his speech, Zurabishvili focused on the necessity of convening the session of the Security Council, which has not been held so far, despite the difficult political situation in the country and in the world in general.
🔹 "In his speech, the President talked about holding a session of the expanded Security Council, in which, according to him, different parties should participate. 🔹 I don't think it is appropriate for the representatives of such parties to take part in the Security Council session, which put their party interests above the interests of the country", said Fridon Injia.
🔹 In his opinion, the Parliament, the Government and the President should hold the session of the Security Council, where decisions of vital importance for the country will be made.

Pridon Injia during the President's Annual Speech at the Extraordinary Plenary Session of the Parliament focused on the issue of granting Georgian citizenship to IDPs from Georgia

ფ The Chairman of the Parliamentary Political Group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia during the annual plenary session of the Parliament during the annual speech of President Salome Zurabishvili focused on the issue of granting Georgian citizenship to IDPs from Georgia.
🔹 “In the interests of the country, I am concerned about one issue. We help everyone who comes to us, especially the refugees from Ukraine, I take part in this and we do everything. Not everything is talked about… In addition, it should be noted that refugees who return to Georgia face legal difficulties. Many want to regain citizenship and can not. He was born in Abkhazia, he had to leave Abkhazia, his mother, father and all are Georgian citizens, but because his son does not know Georgian or speaks Georgian poorly, he can not return to Georgia and can not get Georgian citizenship, "- said Fridon Injia. 🔹 He said that the "European Socialists" had contact with the President's Office on this issue and it is welcome that certain views on this issue coincided.
🔹 “In my opinion, not helping them is a crime. We must stand on our feet and use this difficult situation to strengthen our country. "This is important," said Fridon Injia.

(Original) As soon as there is an awakening, there is a greater possibility of an opportunity and a point of contention, which can facilitate the end of war.

The more meetings will take place between the Ukrainian and Russian sides, the more opportunities and points of contact will appear, which, in turn, can accelerate the end of the war.

This was stated by the chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya live on the "Alt-Info" TV channel, in the "Commentary Day" program.

«The war should end! I think that Ukraine can still be saved...Ukraine has a chance to remain as it is today...This will must be expressed in the format of the meetings taking place in Belarus. They can save Ukraine. I hope they will understand that there is no other way here," said the deputy.

Fridon Indzhiya expressed his regret about the difficult situation in which the population of Ukraine is today, primarily women, children and the elderly.

«The war should end. "The situation that is happening in Ukraine today is not only about Ukraine, it is about the whole world, including Georgia," said Fridon Indzhiya.

In his opinion, in order to stop the war, and Ukraine did not lose even more, a dialogue with Russia is necessary.

"The more we meet and dialogue, the more points of contact will appear," said Fridon Indzhiya.

As the deputy noted, before the start of the war, he said more than once that the only way to save Ukraine is to fulfill the obligations under the Minsk agreements, then there would be no destroyed cities, and Donetsk and Luhansk regions could remain part of Ukraine.

"I hope it will be like that in the future. But these areas could be subjects with special status. This would have been the right solution, salvation for Ukraine, for the dead people, and for all of Europe, but this is already history... Over time, Ukraine may find itself in a more difficult situation. Therefore, I would advise to immediately start negotiations, even at the highest level, and before that, probably, the meetings of the delegations passing through the territory of Belarus should be continued", — noted Fridon Inzhiya.

According to him, in order for the meeting at the highest level not to be fruitless, the parties need to discuss all issues in a working format and find as many opportunities for points as possible. сприкосновения

According to Fridon Indzhiy, Ukraine today has more independence than it had at the beginning of the war.
