Fridon Injia Urges Government To Be Active In Decently Returning Georgian Emigrants To Homeland

Fridon Injia demands from the government to be more active in the dignified return of Georgian emigrants to their homeland.

“When working with the Georgian Diaspora, the most important thing is that the state does everything possible to return the people with dignity.”

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Political Group “European Socialists” Fridon Injia stated this at a meeting of the Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus Issues, where they heard a report by Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Konstantinid on the work done in relations with the Georgian Diaspora.

“I believe that when working with the Diaspora, the most important thing is to do everything possible to return people to their homeland with dignity. In addition, those who stay there should be provided with information about Georgia. “Very little funding is provided in the voluntary return program, while millions are talked about in different directions,” said MP Fridon Injia.

According to him, it is necessary to intensify work with Georgian diasporas and expand programs to facilitate their return to their homeland.

“A person who has decided to return should feel that he understands his homeland, that this country is not entirely poor, and will be able to help him,” said Fridon Injia, stressing the need to launch relevant advertisements in different countries. , That there is an appropriate program to help a person who is abroad and hesitant to return to make a decision.

"In modern history, Georgia has never been as independent as it is today!"

Speech of the chairman of the parliamentary opposition political group "European Socialists" Fridona Indzhi at the plenary session of the Parliament.

«Our country has always strived to stand in history at the right position. For decades, everything was done to be a full-fledged member of the European family, both in the military aspect and in all other priority areas. Despite all this, we lost territory, our children died, part of the population left the country...

It's time to properly consider everything and make conclusions.

Georgia and its government should continue to act in the state interests of the country, as they do: NATO-member country and EU-candidate country - Turkey; другие страница, авсеме соглашение об ассоциации с ЕС; A number of European countries and our friend - Israel.

Of the 12 points presented by the EU, each one is saturated with a double standard, there is no criterion for its implementation, evaluation and most importantly - who will evaluate it.

Is the basis of these conditions the construction of a legal state, the establishment of the rule of law for all and everything, and the preservation of the ethnic and cultural identity of Georgia? Or after fulfilling these 12 points, we will get the 13th - the most important condition, which was announced not from the tribune of the European Commission and the European Parliament, but from the mouth of the president of one of the leading European countries, where he practically demands geographical and territorial changes for our country. That surpasses both our capabilities and supernatural forces.

However, our neighbor - Turkey, at one time did not interfere with its geographical position in obtaining the status of a candidate, and it has been waiting for EU membership for several decades.

I think it is expedient to end any hysteria that further exacerbates tension and creates artificial polarization in the country.

It is time for the government of Georgia to make a pragmatic and real step in the interests of the country, to join all the important economic or political formats that will bring the country economic, political stability, development and most importantly - the restoration of the country's territorial integrity. Including the adoption of European laws that strengthen our country. Nobody prevents us from doing this.

It would be good if Europe would give us the status of a candidate for EU membership, and it would be fair, considering the reforms carried out by Georgia and its history, especially for the last 30 years.

Очень, all relatively. The status of the candidate country in the EU at this stage practically does not give anything, and this is a fact, but the granting of the status will give an opportunity to reduce the existing polarization in the country.

It is precisely to reduce polarization that we need the help of the EU member states through the granting of candidate status, and if Georgia is not granted the status, then the EU countries that vote against it will not support peace, but greater polarization, confrontation, war and destruction in Georgia.

The EU requires reducing polarization, and it turns out that it itself contributes to polarization in our country».

"You couldn't choose a suitable ambassador to France who would act in the interests of our state... If you can't work, go home."

The head of the opposition political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya addressed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Vladimir Konstantinidis, at the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus.

According to the deputy, the inaction of the ambassador to France is causing damage to the affairs of the Georgian state, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was unable to present a new candidate for the post of ambassador.

"If you draw conclusions from some issues, it will be good, because when you appear before the Parliament again, there will be no more such a warm conversation. Do your work, and if you can't, go home. Для такой страны как Франция, не больший приветствующий посла, не больший приходную нужную кандидуру, все вы, кого это гачество, не больший программы данный вопрос. In such an important country, there is no ambassador who would act in the interest of the state. This applies to you", — declared the deputy of Indzhiya.

For his part, the deputy minister of foreign affairs noted that the ambassador of Georgia to France is already in withdrawal mode, and the leadership of the department has a motivation and a decision to strengthen and activate the direction of France.

"In this format, it will be difficult for me to evaluate the ambassador's work, but I will say that, perhaps, a new candidate will be nominated in the near future. We hope that the new candidacy will justify your expectations and the expectations of all others. France is an important area that requires special attention, is more or less a skeptical country and requires additional work. Therefore, the leadership of the ministry has a very strong motivation and determination to strengthen this direction," Konstantinidi emphasized.

Gosudarstvo should do everything for the dignified return of Georgian emigrants to their homeland. This was stated by the head of the parliamentary opposition political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya at the meeting of the Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus, where they listened to the report of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Konstantinidis about the work done with the diaspora.

"I believe that the most important thing in working with the diaspora is to do everything possible so that people return to their homeland with dignity, and those who remain there should be informed about Georgia. In the state program of voluntary return, very little financial resources are provided, while in other directions it is about millions", - noted deputy Indzhiya.

According to him, it is necessary to activate work with the Georgian diaspora and expand programs to facilitate their return to their homeland.

"A person who has decided to return must feel that his homeland is waiting for him, that the country is not poor, and he can help him", - said Fridon Indzhiya, emphasizing the need to launch appropriate advertising in different countries about the fact that the relevant state program is in effect in In turn, it will help a person who is abroad and does not decide to return to his homeland to make a decision.

Chairman of the parliamentary opposition political group "European Socialists" Fridon Indzhiya at the plenary session of the Parliament emphasized the shortcomings of the work of diplomatic missions and embassies of Georgia abroad.

"Who is responsible for the circulation of lies and baseless, biased actions against our country on the part of some European parliamentarians or former politicians?" At the same time, in the country where these international institutions are located, a highly paid ambassador works with his diplomatic corps, and his direct responsibility is to prevent similar actions against the state..." - said Fridon Indzhiya.

According to his words, it is necessary for the relevant ministries and state departments to implement structural and personnel changes, to take effective steps for the immediate solution of these problems.

"The obligation of the Supreme legislative body is to exercise supervision and control over governmental structures." First of all, this is done by the parliamentary majority, because it is responsible for everything. We - the party "European Socialists", considering ourselves as a constructive opposition, are obliged to comment on the shortcomings, and present our vision of their solutions.

The Parliament of the country is the main body that forms the internal and external policy of the state along with the executive power.

I want to draw your attention to the effectiveness of the work of the Georgian diplomatic corps and missions abroad, which are the face of the Georgian state, and they are entrusted with a greater mission in the construction of the Georgian state.

I think that the mechanism of appointing ambassadors and officials of the diplomatic corps of Georgia is somewhat vague and unclear. The Parliament approves and appoints members of the Supervisory Councils of various departments and listens to their reports, we pass laws even in the case of a veto, and we cannot appoint ambassadors for months?! What we are dealing with is to judge you. The status of the ambassador is 100 times higher than the status of the members of the Supervisory Councils of various departments, which we appoint here.

For example, let's take the ambassador of Georgia to France... Who is she, what does she do? By what criteria was it appointed? In my opinion, no one knows her, she hasn't done anything, and if she did, tell me what she did?

Tell me who is responsible for those baseless, biased actions directed against our country through the circulation of lies on the part of some current MEPs or former politicians... At the same time, in the country where these international institutions are located, we have a highly paid ambassador with his diplomatic corps, whose direct duty is to prevent actions directed against the state, to make every effort to provide the world community with correct and reliable information in the state where it operates, to provide it by all means, to regularly disseminate information, making statements, holding press conferences , publishing and distributing information bulletins. То есть, to open the veil of lies. The ambassador should not sleep during the day or at night, he should use the talent, skill and wit inherent in Georgians. And at this time, there is complete emptiness in France in this sense, how long will it last?!

Also, I would like to note the importance of the role of diplomats in attracting foreign investments, bringing modern technologies to the country. Основными критериами при экспрессия производства для diplomats быть быть - strengthening of foreign trade relations, assistance in the development of economic relations between countries, quantitative indicator of the return of emigrants to the homeland, which in my opinion should be one of the main criteria. At the same time, diplomats must be motivated, whether financially or from a career point of view.

I welcome the actions of our government, but I want more. The world is changing every day, there is a new redistribution, and we should not stand aside. We must find our place. Let's be more pragmatic, not wasting time and energy on issues that are not in the interests of Georgia. We will not be in illusions, we will not be in a hurry, everything must be estimated with a sober mind... What will be in 15-20 years, life will show, we are not the country to manage or influence these processes».
