๐ Chairman of the political group "European Socialists" of the Parliament of Georgia Fridon Injia believes that to solve the most important problem for Georgia, which is called the unification of the country, there is no alternative and it is necessary to start a direct dialogue.
๐ท The chairman of the political group announced this at the plenary session of the Parliament in the format of "political debate".
๐ท "As a rule, I boldly declare my vision and I think that the thinking part of the society will share it and make its own conclusion about what is better for our country and our future generation, for saving Georgians and for the existence of Georgia as a state.
๐ท I have personally experienced how much pressure there is on a person who takes steps for the progress and prosperity of his country.
๐ท Now I want to remind you how the situation was before 2008. Before this period, I don't remember people being kidnapped or anyone being opened fire.
๐ท Can you imagine how many of our citizens have died since 2008 and how many were opened fire on.
๐ท Who brought all this? Who brought this situation? What is happening now with the dividing line? Who drew the line?
๐ท Who canceled bus traffic through Tbilisi, Oni, Tskhinvali?
๐ท Who separated these indigenous lands of Georgia, its villages, cities?
๐ท Who handed over the weapons, equipment... That's why we demand the creation of a temporary investigation commission for the events of August 2008.
๐ท I express my condolences to the family of Tamaz Gintur, as well as to the whole of Georgia regarding the death of their son.
๐ท A man who entered the altar to pray was killed. How and when it doesn't matter. On his land, an unarmed man entered the shrine to pray, and instead of escorting our elderly citizen to his home, he was killed by the occupying forces.
๐ท In this case, what do I think is right? What should be our reaction, steps of our government?
๐ท We need to start a direct dialogue. There is no alternative to direct dialogue. For 30 years, we have been in the mode of resolutions, indignation, calls, and no step has been taken to solve the most important problem for Georgia, which is called the unification of the country.
๐ท Shall we not do this? Shall we not start a direct dialogue? Similar cases, God forbid, may still happen. Who is responsible for this? Will we continue to live with resolutions and concerns?" - said Fridon Injia.
๐ท The chairman of the political group commented on the statement of the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, which she made in relation to the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in an interview with the French TV channel LCI.
๐ท "Finally, the cascade of professional crimes committed by the President of Georgia... how long should his anti-national, anti-state actions continue, which harms the state of Georgia, the Georgian people and insults the first person of one of the superpowers in the world by all parameters and indicators.
๐ท I am sorry, and as one of the citizens of this country, I apologize to the Chinese people, because Xi Jinping is the favorite of the Chinese people," said Fridon Injia.
๐ Fragment of the speech of the chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia at the plenary session of the Parliament, where they listened to the Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze in the "Minister's Hour" format. In his speech, the chairman of the political group focused on the problems of granting Georgian citizenship.
The chairman of the parliamentary political group "European Socialists" Fridon Injia believes that there is no alternative to start a direct dialogue regarding the issue of restoring the country's territorial integrity.
According to Fridon Injia, the main thing is to take concrete steps to restore the de-occupation and the territorial integrity of Georgia, and the adoption of resolutions does not bring any results.
At the session of the Bureau of the Parliament, the MP responded to the incident that took place on November 6 in the occupied territory near the village of Kirbali, Gori municipality, which resulted in the death of Georgian citizen Tamaz Ginturi.
At the session of the Parliament's Bureau, a certain part of the opposition presented a draft resolution regarding this fact, where they demand the adoption of a resolution and a timely response to the fact that happened near the village of Kirbali.
"The fact that happened is sad. My condolences to Tamaz Gintur's family. For our country, while the population is decreasing every year, even one person's life is important.
Today, the main task for our country is the unification of the country and restoration of territorial integrity. During these 30 years, how many resolutions have been adopted at different international levels, but it has not brought any results.
We should realize that resolutions do not bring results and think whether this or that resolution will be beneficial or not, whether it will help the unification of our country, and we should not do it to please someone.
I think that the resolution can be adopted, but the main thing is to take concrete steps for de-occupation and return of Georgian lands. And the concrete steps for this, I believe that this is a dialogue. Direct dialogue, not resolutions. For 30 years, we have been at the level of resolutions, but we have no results", said the MP.
